It’s nice to get Feedback

As the title suggests it’s nice to get feedback on your blog, but you have to encourage it in the first place. Such things as displaying your email address, inviting people to comment or having a contact form are such moves that you can make to get feedback. Every time someone contacts me about one of my blogs I try my best to sent a reply to them, granted sometimes it will take me up to a week to get around to it, I will do my best, because these people took their time to send me something. Obviously, as with anything you can take these people’s advice with as much or as little salt as you think.

When I get some messages like this it really helps me to go on blogging about how to start blogging. If you are struggling with having topics to blog about, ask your readers about what they like or what they don’t like. Most blogs have a low percentage of people who will comment on a post, typically it can be anything from 2% to 5% , but asking your readers for feedback can boost this up to something closer to 10% or more !

Giving comments

Invest some time in your blogging schedule to go out and check other blogs. I use blogsearch.google.com and technorati.com in order to discover some new blogs out there. And if I have the time I will leave a comment on a post or use their contact form. I’ve made many great contacts and even email buddies through this method.
