Setting up Wordpress Video Tutorial
By Preblogging in Blog Tips
Here is a great video tutorial that I came across over the weekend (in fact it is my recommended video of the week). It’s 45 minutes long, but it will bring you through all the steps of setting you wordpress hosted blog on wordpress.com. If you are wondering how you are ever going to start your blog, and you think that you need a simple step by step guide then you should sit back and watch the video below. It shows you everything you need to know, in fact you could easily set this up, while watching the video. Just pause it after you do each step, and you could be blogging within the hour !
What is a Wordpress Hosted Blog
A wordpress hosted blog is a blog that has most of the capabilities of a typical own host wordpress blog. You don’t have to worry about registering a domain name or getting hosting, as they give you a sub domain address like http://fastapples.wordpress.com/ where you can blog for free !

i just started a website last week “seattlelunchspots.com” hosted by yahoo but im using wordpress software to design the website. i was so troubled and i would ask for advice from the wordpress moderators, but some of the items that they said would be on a particular page wasn’t there. after going through your tutorial, i realized that a lot of things are different as far as being able to format your theme. if you have a website that has the wordpress extension (www.example.wordpress.com)then you have more flexibility. im using the cutline colum 3 1.1 theme page and i cannot make changes to my front page. at i know im not crazy now…thank you and i love the video!

Julie : are you still having problems ? I see from your blog that it has been edited. Your blog roll links do look a little out of place though.

oh hello, i didn’t expect a response. thank you. yes im still having problems. i guess because i don’t have a “wordpress” website and my is powered by yahoo, i cannot make the changes to the front page like people who have wordpress sites. did i confuse you? in other words, my theme (i think) only allows me to make changes in the editing mode. but that requires me to know the code language.
